…but that’s not likely to stop me from knitting at work. In my defense, things are as dead as an abandoned mausoleum around here. It’s not exactly teeming with people during the school year, and it is the middle of the summer.
Currently I’m working on two projects: the Anthropologie capelet, with mods by crnaofca on Craftster. I refer to it as the “Croatian capelet”.
Detail of the eyelets from the capelet. Here’s what the capelet will eventually look like, hopefully.
Project two is a pinwheel blanket, for one of my professors. He’s expecting a baby girl next month; he and his sons are pretty excited about it.
I may have to relocate to a much colder clime if I wish to keep up this knitting habit. It’s not so much that it’s hot (surely Arizona hits higher temperatures), but that it is constantly MUGGY. The air itself is sweating. Maybe I should just scrap the blanket and give the baby a fan instead.

See, this is why the Knitting Goddess invented socks. :)
I’m looking forward to a day of conference calls that I don’t really have to pay attention to. Woohoo for knitting at work!
It’s too hot even for socks! If there were some way to knit a giant self-cooling suit, that would be awesome.
